Who We Are
The Cambodian-Australian Welfare Council of NSW Inc. (CAWC) is a not-for-profit organisation. It was established in 1983 as Khmer Interagency (KI) by workers who worked with Khmer people, and it became incorporated in 1996.
About CAWC
Community-led support with cultural understanding.
The name KI was later changed to CAWC. The organisation is a network of Khmer and non-Khmer workers interested in Khmer issues, and it meets on a regular basis to liaise, discuss, and plan programs and activities that respond to the needs of the Cambodian community.
Today, CAWC NSW continues that role through advocacy, community programs, culturally responsive support, and opportunities that strengthen belonging, wellbeing, and participation across New South Wales.
